Today, we’ll use black thread as a heat free way to stretch your hair prior to your hair styling. An added benefit of using thread in African hair threading style is retention of hair growth as wrinkles aren’t always linking up.

STEP By Step Guide

Some people start with damp hair, others start with wetter hair. I like to start with dry hair, but I must moisturize for length and protection.

(Style tip: Starting on your damp hair is best for women who wish to straighten overnight.)

  • Use Favorite Buttery Moisturizer: A buttery moisturizer will keep your hair soft when you are stretching using African hair threading procedure.Try Entwine Exotique-Butter Cream Hydrator. A quarter size on a medium area ought to be fine.
  • Seal with oil:  After you apply moisturizer, you have to use oil. I utilized my Entwine Total Perfection Argan Oil. There’s something unique about the mixture of oils and water that makes your hair so delicate.
  • Proper way of moisturizing and sealing your hair (African Threading Hair Styles): The first thing that works against you was how did you moisturized and sealed your hair. Talking about my personnel experience, I used to moisturize and seal at the same time, working form the root to the ends. This will make your hair stretch more before using the thread.
  • Comb Your Hair: After you have sealed your hair it’s time to comb your hair. Use whatever comb you use for detangling.

Start threading your hair: African hair threading is mainly known for durability and silkiness of hair. I use high strength thread (thread generally used for weaving purpose).  Follow these simple steps to thread your hair:

  • Hold long section of your hair
  • Layer it over one another and continue wrapping
  • Start by collecting all of your hair to the center of the section.

Wrapping (African Threading Hair Styles): Wrapping is the most important step to straight 4C Natural Hair without use of heat. The best method is placing the thread under your thumb so that they get secured and then start wrapping around all over. Keep remember one thing, the smaller the gap between the thread, greater the stretch.

Now this method doesn’t work as fast as high heat hair straightening by any stretch. After your hair is threaded and wrapped it’ll take a several of days to fully stretch and straighten. Also, this is not going to be as straight as a flat iron. More like after a good blow drying, but without the damaging heat.

If you wear a wig you can use it while your out and about. Just put all the wrapped segments under a wig while you hold up.

That’s all what you have to do with African hair threading hairstyles to straighten 4C Natural Hair with no heat use.
