What is the Liquid Oil Gel Method (LOG)? It is a method used to get luscious curls without the frizziness, the crunchiness, and the dryness that can come with Wash N Go. LHDC-TV created this method and it has worked for many women. This method is very moisturizing as oil and water are moisturizing agents and gel defines and holds the curls. Wash N Go can be fun, very stylish, low manipulation, and easy to maintain. They are done by natural ladies but finding and mastering the perfect technique can be a challenge.
We will briefly talk about the different techniques but our focus today is on the Liquid Oil Gel method (LOG) as It leaves the hair feeling and looking moisturized for a longer period of time. The technique that you use depend on your hair type and curl pattern. Some ladies use conditioner and styling gel then do a “pineapple” at night to maintain the style.
If your hair is prone to dryness and frizziness you can incorporate your fave oil to the ends of your hair to seal in that moisture. Wash N Go Liquid Oil Gel Method
STEP 1: Co-wash (conditioner wash) – See: 10 best moisturizers for black women
NOTE: Co-washing is a method of using conditioner to wash the hair. Massaging the scalp with the finger tips will clean the scalp.
STEP 2: In four sections apply leave-in conditioner follow by your favorite oils
STEP 3: Twist hair in two-strand twist.
STEP 4: Sit under hooded dryer for 20 minutes
STEP 5: Apply gel (we recommend Wet Line Xtreme Gel). This is a protein / alcohol free hair gel.
STEP 6: Sit under hooded dryer until hair is completely dry
